About Dan Tigley

My electrical career began on the industrial side of the trade, where I was exposed early to electrical panel fabrication and control systems. While I did not complete my apprenticeship in panel fabrication, that environment gave me a strong understanding of controls, system organization, and the level of precision required for high-quality electrical work. It set the standard I still hold myself to today.

I later moved into commercial new construction, followed by commercial maintenance, where I gained hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems in active buildings. This phase of my career taught me the importance of planning, coordination, and reliability — especially when electrical systems must perform without interruption.

From there, I specialized in gas station construction and service work, a niche that demands strict safety practices, detailed coordination, and compliance with complex regulations. During this time, I also worked on and maintained lighting systems for multiple Loblaws locations, further reinforcing my experience with large-scale, mission-critical electrical infrastructure.

Over time, I discovered that my strongest connection to the trade was in service and small-project work. I enjoy working directly with clients, diagnosing issues, and explaining electrical systems that are often hidden or unfamiliar. Helping people understand what’s happening in their home or project — and why a solution is recommended — is a part of the job I genuinely value.

Today, as a licensed Master Electrician and owner of Tigley Electrical Services Ltd., I bring experience from industrial, commercial, and residential environments into every home I work in. That background allows me to approach residential electrical work with a broader perspective, strong attention to detail, and a focus on safety, code compliance, and long-term reliability.

My goal is simple: to provide professional, well-executed electrical work — and to make sure homeowners feel informed and confident every step of the way.
